Play OverviewPlay Overview

Trash Sailors (2022) is a hand-drawn sailing game, where you control a group of castaways after a tsunami floods the world. You navigate the ocean and build your raft with trash nearby which you can recycle into fuel, raft spare parts, and even weapons. Players fight against monsters such as swamp crocodiles, toxic sharks, arctic pirates, and much more along the way.

The result is a tower defence challenge where you play on a moving platform. It's good fun for families to play together as you need to organise your team efficiently to survive.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Trash Sailors 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 2 weeks ago.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 7 for pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children, and mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures. Players must avoid various obstacles and enemies, which include crocodiles, crabs and robotic sharks, as well as fellow sailors who can use rockets against them. Enemies can be attacked with various weapons, including harpoons. Reactions to violence are unrealistic and lessened in impact by the simple animated style. When characters are hit, they may yell out, flinch or recoil, but without visible injuries. When enemies are defeated, they disappear in a puff of smoke, fall off their raft into the water, or fly away into the air after explosions. When the player's character is defeated, it falls to the ground with stars circling its head. Some of the enemies, such as spooky shrieking spiders and a giant roaring octopus, maybe a little scary for younger players. There are also thunder and lightning effects.

Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.

Rated for younger players in Australia. Rated General (G) for Very Mild Violence.
