OverviewOverview

Watch Dogs 2 is a futuristic adventure game where you explore a city and use technology to foil your enemies. It's the second game in the series and set in a fictionalised San Francisco Bay Area. You explore the city on foot or in vehicles that you can acquire by various means.

You play hacker Marcus Holloway, who works with the hacking group DedSec. Unlike your lone role in the first game, here you are part of a vigilante movement aiming to overthrow the government surveillance. You do this by subverting the city's surveillance systems using smart devices to Hack buildings and other infrastructure. At the same time you have to ensure you are not discovered or identified. You can tackle missions in various different ways. Each completed assignment increases your follower count and offers new opportunities to develop your characters power and skills.

Again, like the first game you are using the environment and technology to achieve your aims. While you do this you have to take care to swing the public consciousness in the direction you want. At the start of the game your DedSec group is seen as dangerous vigilantes, but as you progress they are accepted as an important protest to the government.
