Watch Dogs Legion Review
Posted: 9 months ago, last updated yesterday.
In addition to the exploration and technology hacking of the first games, Legion lets you play as multiple people with unique skills and backgrounds. If a character dies, they are lost permanently with a new Permadeath setting.
You use these characters to explore on foot with parkour moves, in vehicles you steal, or through the city's underground system. Each mission can be tackled in different ways. An open-combat approach would use weapons. A stealth approach would use the environment to avoid detection. A hacking approach would use technology to subdue enemies.
Combat includes a mixture of gun fights - involving lethal and non-lethal fire-arms - and hand-to-hand combat moves, with enemies making use of different methods depending on how the player acts against them in combat (i.e. a guard hit with a punch will use melee attacks). Players can be pursued by enemies when escaping, including hostile drones, but can lose them by utilizing hack-able environmental objects (i.e. vents) and avoiding line of sight with pursuers.
Players: You can play this with 4 players online. Four-player cooperative multiplayer will also be included, allowing players to team up to complete missions or explore London together. This is cooperative so players share progression between single-player and multiplayer modes.

Rated PEGI 18+ due to depictions of extreme violence to humans and use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. There are depictions of motiveless killings of multiple innocent human characters. The player can freely explore the streets of London and attack innocent civilians by shooting, clubbing, stabbing or running them over.
The majority of civilians will try to flee the violence, although a few retaliate and chase down the player along with the police forces. The reactions to the violence are realistic in nature, with characters screaming in pain and then limply falling to the floor where their bodies remain. Impacts result in loss of blood.
The game also contains depictions of violence towards captive human-like characters. A number of characters can be restrained using handcuffs, either by the player or by other non-playable characters. When the victims are restrained, they can be beaten and killed. The characters sometimes beg for mercy in these situations and cry out in pain. If they are killed, their bodies limply fall to the ground.
There are visual and verbal references to human trafficking. Victims are seen being physically and verbally abused by their captors. There is also a depiction of an underground 'market', in which people's organs are harvested and sold.
ESRB MATURE 17+ for Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Alcohol. Players explore an open-world environment while hacking electronic devices, using stealth to infiltrate/obtain information, and engaging in combat with enemies. Players use melee weapons (e.g., pipes, crowbars) and firearms (e.g., pistols, machine guns, assault rifles) to kill enemies; combat can be frenetic, highlighted by realistic gunfire, slow-motion effects, cries of pain, and blood-splatter. Cut-scenes depict further instances of violence: a man shot in the head; a crime lord beaten to death by several people; a character stabbed in the neck with a scalpel. During the course of the game, players can encounter a human-organ harvesting operation where corpses are depicted lying on tables/slabs amid bloodstained rags, surgical instruments, and severed hands or feet. The game contains some sexual material: red light districts with sex shops advertising nude dancers and sex toys; missions/storylines referencing prostitution.
Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.
You can adjust the reticule size, style and colour. You can turn on or off every item in the head up display.
This game also includes a startup screen with low-vision onboarding options to enable Text-To-Speech and larger font size.
