Play OverviewPlay Overview

Wild Guns Reloaded (1996) is a fast retro shooting game where you control the gun with one stick and your character with the other. It's set in an alternative steampunk Wild West.

You play as Clint, Annie, Doris, or Bullet the dog. Each have their own weapons and tactics you can use, but really this is about quickly moving the target to shoot things like you do in a Light-Gun game or On-Rails shooting game, but also keeping jumping, diving, and rolling to get out of the way of the barrage of bullets.

Both enemies and their bullets can be shot down. As you progress and kill enemies you gain item boxes which offer gold and silver for extra points, and bombs. Weapon upgrades may also appear after defeating certain enemies.

The Reloaded version is an updated version of the SNES game released in 1996. It offers both the classic and new stages, as well as adding two new characters, new boss enemies and more special weapons.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Wild Guns Reloaded 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 11 months ago.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 7 for non-realistic looking violence towards characters which although human are not very detailed and features mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to human like characters. Characters often need to be hit multiple times before they are defeated. When they are defeated, they fall down to the floor in a very fast animation, blink and disappear. They often leave an item behind that the player can grab. When a human is hit they make a small ‘urg’ sound, however no injury is visible. Small enemies explode when defeated, bigger bosses feature a more elaborate animation. For instance first an arm falls off, then a leg and then it explodes.
