Play OverviewPlay Overview

Words For A Bird (2020) is a short adventure you play by completing sentences. You follow the story of a purple bird. Each sentence is completed with letters from the tree in which the bird sits, along with a clue tile in the middle of the screen.

It's a simple game that doesn't out stay its welcome. The combination of spelling, story and cryptic clues makes it idea for parents and children to play together. If you get too stuck there are further clues to help.

The game has a positive message and is designed to offer some respite during times of uncertainty for players of all ages. The bird starts out lonely, but as you express their emotions of missing friends, space and fun, they are joined by others.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Words For A Bird 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 18 months ago.
