Best Games on Nintendo Switch with "High Contrast Mode" Accessibility Settings

The Nintendo Switch is a video game console released in 2017. It combines handheld and console features. You can use it on a large TV screen, or remove it from its "dock" to play in handheld mode like a Nintendo 3DS.

Following on from Nintendo's Wii and Wii U console, it offers small wireless controllers that are motion sensitive. It also has a touch screen that can be used in handheld mode.

Although it's not backwards compatible with Wii U or Wii games, many of these are being re-released on the system. It is also a good machined to access lots of smaller games made by independent developers.

As part of our Accessibility Report, this page lists games that have been flagged with accessibility settings in the following areas.

Visual: Each of these games has been assessed for how you can adjust the visuals to suit your needs, and offer additional information if you can't hear the game. Each game offers the following accessibility features and settings:

  • High Contrast Mode: There is high contrast between elements that need to be distinguished from each other, such as characters, interactive objects and game environment, either by default or a high contrast mode. This is different to a slider that increases contrast between light and dark.
