The PlayStation 5 is the follow up to the PlayStation 4, released in 2019. It moves the system to a super fast solid state drive as well as improved visuals and sound. There's a focus on the photo-realistic ray-tracing feature in many games. You can play all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR games on the new system. You can use the DualShock 4 controllers from the PlayStation 4 to play those games on PlayStation 5, but you need to use the new DualSense controller to play PlayStation 5 games. This adds a feature that offers resistance on the trigger buttons to emulate in-game actions like guns jamming.
